Meet the 2019 Debutantes & Cavaliers

THOMAS BAIRD is at Ashbury College. He welcomes the opportunity to raise funds to give children the ability to express their talents in the Arts. He also supports several youth-based charities and would like to study commerce.

STUART BOWDEN is at Immaculata High School. He loves to travel, play sports and contribute to a variety of community services. He hopes to become a pilot.

ISABELLA BRUINSMA is at Ashbury College. She believes in the importance of supporting music for children. She also loves singing and performing, and has been signed to a record label. She volunteers in the community, and would like to study journalism.

OLIVIA CARERE is at Ashbury College. She believes that the beneficiaries of this event are important and is pleased to be a part of this night of philanthropy. She likes to ski and volunteer in the community, and would like to go into medicine.

LUKAS COTE is at Ashbury College. He enjoys dancing, and is excited to learn the waltz. He volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club, and hopes to become a neurosurgeon.

EMMANUELLE CRITES is at Blythe Academy. She has been inspired and empowered by music her whole life, and is pleased to be a part of an event that helps children to be empowered by music as well. She would like to pursue music at Carleton University.

JAMES CRYSTAL is at Ashbury College. He welcomes the opportunity to learn a new skill and to contribute to a group effort fundraiser.

KADE ERICKSON is at Ashbury College. He loves sports, and has done a lot of community service. He is looking forward to the ball, and is pleased to raise money for such a great cause. He would like to study business or sports management.

MAYA EVANS LI is at Glebe Collegiate. She has a strong affinity to the arts and would like to pursue industrial design. She loves to dance, as well as volunteering in the community by teaching English and organizing various dance and music events.

SARAH FALLAH is at Ashbury College. She is passionate about music and wants to help promote music for the youth. She also loves playing sports and raising awareness for homeless youth in the city. She would like to study commerce/finance in the future.

CHARLOTTE PRYOR HOFFLEY is a student at Elmwood. She has studied orchestral harp and loves music and dance. She would like to study aerospace engineering.

LAURA JIMENIZ is a student at Ashbury College. She enjoys playing competitive tennis and volunteering, as well as helping kids. She ultimately hopes to fight inequality, corruption and injustice.

SETH JOHNSON attends Sir Robert Borden High School. He enjoys helping others in the community and encouraging them to surpass their goals. He hopes to pursue a career in business.

WILLIAM JONES is a student at Ashbury College. He loves sports and travel. He finds that participation in the Ball is a unique opportunity for him to learn about another culture.

MAYA LADKI is a student at Elmwood. She is a competitive dancer and volunteer teaching kids to dance. She hopes to study commerce and corporate law.

 

GRACE LEMON is at Merivale High School. She loves sports, especially synchronized swimming, and she is very excited to participate in the Ball. In the future she hopes to study psychology.

SAMANTHA LIN is at grade 11 at Colonel By Secondary School. She loves that the Viennese Winter Ball supports youth music initiatives. She hopes to pursue law and help protect rights of citizens.

SEVA LOSEV is a student at Carleton University. He plays professional hockey and participates in several community services. He is pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this worthy cause.

KEIREN MCCLELLAND is a student at Elmwood, and she enjoys volunteering and working with children. She loves music and travelling, and ultimately hopes to study criminology.

GILLIAN PARKES is a student Ashbury College. She views the Viennese Winter Ball as an opportunity to appreciate the arts and Austrian culture. She loves sports and volunteering to help kids, and would like to pursue a career in engineering or architecture.

GUILIA RHODES attends Ashbury College. She enjoys dance and music, and enjoys playing competitive soccer. She hopes to pursue a career in fashion design and marketing.

MATTHEW RICHESON attends Ashbury College. He believes in nourishing creativity in young people, and hopes to pursue a career in industrial design.

SYDNEY SHELP is a student at Canterbury High School. She loves music, travel and dance, and she is very excited to learn to waltz. She would like to study biology and medicine.

DAMIAN SMITH is a student at Ashbury College. He enjoys hockey, music, and volunteering with charities for the homeless. He would like to pursue a career in athletic business.

PATRICK SPITERI is a student at Ashbury College. He is passionate about sports and contributing to community services through his school. He sees participation in the Ball as an opportunity to learn a new skill outside of his comfort zone.

AVRIL SUN is a student at Elmwood School. She is an avid piano player and enjoys theatre and dance. She hopes to study chemistry and commerce in University.

JULIAN TERRIS is at Ashbury College. He loves playing sports, especially soccer. He is very excited for this opportunity to learn to waltz and contribute to a worthy cause.

ISAAC THOMAS attends Russell High School. He is an avid volunteer and hopes to become a pilot. He finds that participating in the Viennese Winter Ball has been an extraordinary experience, and he looks forward to the event.

PHILLIPPE VALIQUETE attends Ashbury College. He loves playing sports and volunteering in the community. He hopes to make a positive change in the world.

WILLIAM WATERS is at Ashbury College. He plans to pursue engineering, and he looks forward to participating in this unique event and learning the waltz.
